One detail I forgot to mention was that the day it arrived, my buddy John was also having something delivered to my house that was too big for the mail slot at his apartment. He came to my work to pick up a package from the previous week that I had in the trunk of my car. While he was there, he got notification of a second package being delivered, and they sent him a photo of two medium packages on my front doorstep. One, according to my email, was a Hasbro Pulse action figure that had been on back order for me. I told him to feel free to snag his parcel on his way home. I got busy at work and only much later saw I had a voicemail from him saying my wife must've brought in the two small packages when she picked up Zak at work, as neither were on the porch anymore, but there *was* a large new box marked StarSpeeder. I checked the time stamp, he'd left that message three hours earlier, and I was still going to be at work until almost midnight. Late last year I had my first- or second-ever package go missing, a book that I'd gotten very cheap but still it was upsetting that the post office said it was marked 'delivered' and could not do anything else to help. Not wanting a Speeder-sized box to be sitting out there til the wee hours, I called home to have them make sure to bring it in. I must've spent a solid five minutes on tenterhooks as Debbie and Zak languidly got around to checking, bringing in, and confirming that a box marked StarSpeeder was now inside. I got home after 12, and was amazed how big the box was. So even up to the last second, I was worried the rug might get pulled out from under me.

@@LextheRobot Man imagine if the Starspeeder went missing. That would a disasters. Great piece indeed and 300 bucks isn't that bad based on it has it's own functional screen you could watch the ride. Money well spent I'd say.

Fortune smiled. I was able to order one. It arrived yesterday. My phone is too full to record a video of decent length though, so I'll have to do a dump to clear up space.

@@user-gb5zq6yn5k Same. I credit that film with my love of live theatre because after memorizing the 1986 film, the very first play I ever auditioned for was a 1989 production of the stage show. I've since acted in two additional productions, directed a fourth, and my sons and I just attended a production on Father's Day last month that was directed by the wife of one of my improv buddies.

@@LextheRobot yeah i was in pre k when i watched it i went to my high school version of the little shop of horrors the dentist scene gave me a flashback then i realised i show the movie so i decided to watch it.

@@user-gb5zq6yn5k The dentist scene on stage has an extra song with lots of very intricate lyrics. I'm honestly torn between whether I prefer the no-song film dialogue or the stage musical number.

What still strikes me is that Murray is the one who's so raw and emotional, Aykroyd is the one who's stern and analytical, and Harold is the wry and jovial one. It's like their three Ghostbusters' characters' personalities all shifted one space over.

@@Vadim_Morozov That's the source for the same shots I used. I zoomed in on the footage to obscure as much of the superimposed contest rules as possible. I felt that the eye was drawn to the words too much.

Yeah, I didn't really notice how constant it was when we were there in person, but editing the video it was more noticeable. Possibly because of the repetition of the clips as I was tweaking them. I actually lowered the volume on some of the loudest and most obnoxiously sudden ones.

The odd timing of your comment is that just two days ago our carousel CD player died and I bought a new one. When I got in from work, my wife had placed all the CDs from inside the defunct one atop the dresser. Three were hers, while two of them were the soundtrack to Bohemian Rhapsody and the score for GBII. I honestly didn't even remember owning that one.

This upload precedes the release of that set by nearly (but not quite) four years. Plus I've included things like the local news segments and the commercials from the original broadcast, for proper historical context. Other than that, they should be very similar, though I haven't done any exhaustive comparison.

Glad you're enjoying them. Bear in mind, these are just the ones that I decided to recut for my playlist. Prowl around online and you can find dozens of the raw tapes from throughout her career. Originally, she used a single-camera setup, so the camera person would start in a two-shot, push in on the interviewee for the entirety, and then at the end they'd reshoot Bobbie's closeups to cut away to in the edit. By 1989, when she interviewed Bill Murray about Ghostbusters II, she had progressed to a two-camera setup, so the interactions feel much more spontaneous.

For some reason, the online raw tape of her interviewing Dan Aykroyd in 1984 is missing Bobbie's cutaways at the end. Luckily, this was the big Ghostbusters press day at the Plaza hotel, so Wygant had interviewed several members of the cast that day, always wearing the same outfit. I believe it was the Rick Moranis interview which appeared to have been shot in the same room as the Aykroyd, so I was able to lift some nonverbal reactions from that raw tape and keep Bobbie 'present' instead of just being a disembodied voice.
